CoRAP 2025-2027: ECHA's proposal

On 18 December 2024, ECHA (European Chemicals Agenncy) announced the publication of its proposal for an updated Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP). This list includes 28 substances of concern to be assessed by Member States under the REACH Regulation in 2025, 2026, and 2027. Among them, six can be used in cosmetics. The final plan will be adopted in March 2025.

Consultation on the CLH classification of Aminomethyl Propanol

On 16 December 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a consultation on the Austria’s proposal for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of Aminomethyl Propanol, a buffering agent. This consultation is open until 14 February 2025.

Intention of CLH classification for Nerol

On 11 December 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published Denmark’s proposal for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) for Geraniol, a perfuming agent.

ECHA's RAC validates CMR classification for several cosmetic ingredients

On 5 December 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) reviewed the latest meetings of its Scientific Committees. On the agenda: six opinions from the CER (Committee for Risk Assessment) on proposed CLH classifications affecting ingredients that may be used in cosmetics.

Intention of CLH classification for Geraniol

On 4 December 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published Denmark’s proposal for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) for Geraniol, a perfuming agent included in the list of labelled allergens.
